This downtown Naples condo is a study in clean lines and rich colors and textures.
GETTING WARMER
Inside the great room of this 3,200-square-foot condo, clean lines reign. A double-step ceiling brings focus to an accent wall that’s both attractive and functional. Varied textures in the cut-out chenille chairs, ultra-suede sofas and custom wool rug add more visual interest, as does the combination of rich espresso wood and cool metal finishes, as in the unique, metal-wrapped lamp and chrome-and-glass end table.
HIGH SHINE
The kitchen cabinets are a combination of blonde maple and cherry wood, which interior designer Lisa Ficarra Shepherd chose for its balanced color palette and contemporary look. Stainless steel accents are echoed throughout the room, in the fixtures, appliances, metallic tile backsplash and even the flooring.
SOFT SPOT
The detailed ceiling draws the eye upward in the master bedroom, creating the illusion of added height. In this room as well, simple, clean lines dominate, and a cinnamon-sage green color combination balances the metallic finish of the custom-made bench at the foot of the bed.
BRIGHT IDEA
The guest bathroom is a rather small space, she says, so it needed to be special in not a lot of room. "We wanted it to be a ‘wow’ space," she says, so she selected a ceramic-and-glass backsplash that pulled together the pumpkin, taupe and chocolate brown hues used in the adjoining bedroom. Floating shelving with accent lighting underneath and a vessel sink complete the look.
